How do I set the correct encryption level in Windows Internet Explorer? |

Windows Internet Explorer uses the Windows Internet settings. Please refer to the instructions "How do I set the right encryption level in Windows?"

1. Open the "Start" menu and launch the "Control Panel".
Depending on your operating system:
Windows 7:
Expand the "View by" box and select "Small icons" or "Large icons" from the drop-down list:
Select "Internet options":
Windows Vista:
Select the "Classic view" option:
Select "Internet options":
2. go to the 'Advanced' tab:
3. Search for "Use TLS 1.0" and select it. If "Use TLS 1.1 encryption" and "Use TLS 1.2 encryption" are available they should also be checked.
If the boxes "Use SSL 2.0" and/or "Use SSL 3.0" are checked, remove them.
Click "OK":

1. Launch Mozilla Firefox and in the address bar type "about:config", click enter and confirm the warning displayed.
2. Type "security" into the "Search" field and find the entries "security.tls.version.max" and "security.tls.version.min" in the list:
3. Double-click on the entry "security.tls.version.max" and enter "4". Click 'OK'.
4. Double click on the entry "security.tls.version.min" and enter "1". Click 'OK'.
5. Close the configuration window.
